Spells by Metamagic Compatibility

If a caster level is marked with #, then that spell can only have the specified metamagic feat applied if the caster has some way of casting spells of levels higher than the normal class maximum (such as a high intelligence, or access to the Epic feat Improved Spell Capacity).

For some spells, a given metamagic feat may or may not be used with the spell depending on the sort of effect chosen or some exceptional feature of the spell; in these cases, the spell listing is followed by "Varies."
